We all need connections.Arrange the connected colored pieces into groups of the same color to pop them. Get big chain reactions to get a massive point bonus.
Connectiles is a color-matching puzzle game where you connect 4 adjacent blocks of the same color to clear them, ideally in a chain reaction. Blocks fall in linked pieces of 4 to 6, and fall as a connected group.
Game jam entry for Gotm.io Jam 5: Make It Random. Ranked 5/11.
The gameplay is based mainly on Puyo Puyo. The idea of connected pieces of different colors falling together was taken from Dr. Mario, and taken to a higher level. The idea of pieces rotating to slot into holes was taken from Tetris, specifically Guideline games like Tetris Worlds and later.
